As a denizen of the Internet old enough to have originally reached for the word “netizen” before arriving at the foregoing descriptor, I have written the essence of this post more times than I would care to count.
I don’t know what it is about blogs, but I find myself pathologically unable to stick with them. Maybe it’s because I’m easily distracted, or maybe it’s because I’ve had the slow march of technologies beyond my control erode so much of my past writing as the tide turns mountains into sand, but whatever the case may be, while my GeoCities pages may be preserved in trust forever as the common heritage of all mankind, I think I speak for everyone of a certain age when I say I am glad my LiveJournal is as lost as the works of Ozymandias.
So here we are again, starting a new blog in 2021. Sure. Why not.
My first few posts will no doubt be a whirlwind tour of my various interests and hobbies. With time these will hopefully eventually coalesce into coherent categories.
Now then… Once more, with feeling!
